CV
Joanne Miller is an artist who began drawing as a child in pencil, used chalk pastel for many years as a student; then watercolour, then acrylic paint. Jo has been using acrylic paint on canvas for over ten years. She enjoys the immediate quality of acrylic, the texture and flexibility. Her most recent works in acrylics are vivid, contemporary artworks in a graphic style. The images always seek to tell a story or comment on ideas from everyday life.
Jo Miller's 2011 paintings seek to explore some basic themes - including loss, relationships and religion.
Jo also facilitates 'Women's Art For Life' and 'Children's Art For Life' Workshops in Wallaroo Mines, South Australia.
